Jack is my name. But it was never only mine.
Fifty, sixty years ago, if you didn't know someone's name, you called them Jack. The stranger who held the door. The passerby on the street. The one in the crowd you'd never see again. Jack was the name for anybody — the common name for the common person.
That's the whole idea behind RunJackRun. Jack isn't one guy. Jack is everybody. Man or woman, any background, any creed, any faith — it doesn't matter. We're all Jack. And deep down, every Jack wants to run.
Jack of all trades
Try everything. Learn the thing you know nothing about. Be good at a lot instead of afraid of most. This is the heart of it.
Jack of spades
Play the hand you're dealt and play it with some nerve. Not the king, not the ace — still in the game.
Jackrabbit
Quick off the line. Curious. Restless in the good way. When the moment shows up, go.
Every Jack
No gender, no creed, no religion required. If you've ever wanted to do something just because you wanted to, you're Jack.
Run. Fly. Skip. Build. Draw. Try. Wait.
Do things because you want them done. Do things because you love doing them. Do things you've never done before, just to see. That's the run — not a race against anybody else, just the urge to move toward something.
Every shirt, hoodie and hat here is made for that Jack. Wear it to the job, the field, the studio, the road trip you finally said yes to.
This particular Jack draws every design and prints it by hand at his shop in Newport, Kentucky — made to order, so nothing goes to waste.
